I’ve been coaching long enough to know that good players come in all sizes. It’s true that height and weight can be an advantage but they only go so far. I’ll take a smaller guy with drive, enthusiasm, and a strategic mind over brute strength any day. Grant Ducati is one of those smaller guys that still has it all going on. He’s a great asset to the team; he just needs to be used the right way.
Grant has what I call “Super Hero Syndrome”. Way too many young athletes get it. SHS is the idea that they have to be six feet tall and three feet wide to be any good.
