I almost literally grew up in the church. My stepfamily spent as many evenings on the church campus as we did at home. There is a full calendar of events to go to, often several on the same night. My mom insisted on going to as many as possible. I swear she would have gone to the Young Married Women’s group, or Expectant Mothers if they had let her in. It’s a wonder she didn’t start drinking so she could “recover“ and go to AA meetings.
